0:01He was the type of professor who made like $5 million
0:03when he was 25, was retired at 30.
0:05And so when he started teaching my digital marketing class,
0:06I knew I had to learn everything from him that I could.
0:08And he always had one rule.
0:09That rule was, you can't learn if you don't do.
0:12So he always told us to do, and so I did.
0:13I always did.
0:14After about a semester, he ended up telling me
0:15that there was this other student
0:16in one of his other classes that I should go meet.
0:17So once again, I did.
0:18I went and met that other person.
0:19Sat down on a bench on our college campus,
0:20and I showed up with a 20-page business plan
0:22and gave it to him for me.
0:23I wanted to start a business with him, create a flow.
0:24By the end of that Thanksgiving break,
0:25he had said yes, and we started to create a flow.
0:27By the start of winter break two weeks later,
0:28we had our first clients.
0:29And so I just want to remind you
0:30that the person who's gonna make you rich
0:31is in that class that you almost rocked.
0:32Maybe they're sitting in the background.
0:33Maybe it's that person who you haven't said hi to.
0:34You're not gonna find them on LinkedIn.
0:35You're not gonna find them on Discord.
0:36You're not gonna find them by being some influencer
0:37on social media.
0:38You're gonna find them by talking to your professors
0:39and talking to real people.
0:40So go talk to your professors
0:41because they're the people who pick the good ones at least.
0:42They know the industry,
0:43and they know everyone in the industry.
0:44And always bring a real plan to the conversation.
0:46Don't just show up with an idea and hope for the best.
0:47Show up with a 20-page business plan
0:48so you make sure you get your yes.
